opportunity to introduce Playmasters to you. I am Harold
Rushton, the owner and founder of Playmasters.
We are
a family owned business that started many years ago. We
started in the construction business over 15 years ago, when
we built our first home. The thing that started our
construction adventure was the lack of quality and
dependability that other companies offered at the time. We
were in need of professional construction services, but we
found that we could not hire anyone that would show up on
time, or at all in some cases. We also found that there was a
lack of professionalism in the work ethic that we saw when we
hired others. So, using the experience that I had gained in a
family business as a young man, I was determined to enter the
construction market and offer quality
services.
Working Together…
As a youngster, I grew up working for
my father’s business. He loved what he did for a living. He
started his business so that he could spend more time with me
as I was growing up. I worked with him in that business for
many, many years. During that time, I also learned many
skills. Those included business principles, basic carpentry
and woodwork.
Family
First…
After working in my father's business for many years, I entered
college and majored in Business Administration. I ultimately started my own
business. That is where the construction business came into
this story. As I briefly explained at the beginning of this
note to you, we found a great need for dependable, honest
people to perform professional construction work in our area.
So, that is where we started. Our business started out
performing excavation services and deck construction. I was
blessed to have my son, Matthew come to work with me in the
family construction business. We worked hard to build a good
reputation in the construction field and the business
grew.
Busy,
Busy, Busy…
As a result of our construction experience, we were
approached by a playground distributor. He was in need of a
professional commercial playground installation company. That
was the beginning of our work in the field of Commercial
Playground Installation. We were subsequently certified to
build commercial play structures. Over the next year we
installed over 50 Commercial Playgrounds in Alabama and
Mississippi. Since that time we have continued to install
playgrounds, but eventually developed our own line of
commercial and residential playgrounds and equipment.
Years
of Play…
We are still
installing many different types of playgrounds all over
Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. We offer professional
playground installation services. During our time in business,
we have found many organizations that have purchased a
